My FASTag was charged twice / wrongly. What do I do?
Keep your journey details and call the NHAI helpline 1033 (also printed on NHAI FASTags) or raise the issue with your FASTag issuer bank. Our plaza supervisor can note your complaint at the gate — wrongly deducted amounts are reversed by the issuer after verification.
I live near a plaza. Can I get a discounted local pass?
Yes. Residents within the prescribed distance of a plaza (with valid address proof and a private non-commercial vehicle) can obtain a discounted monthly pass at the plaza office as per NHAI fee rules. Bring your RC and address proof — the plaza manager will guide you.
Which vehicles are exempt from toll?
Categories exempted under NHAI fee rules — such as ambulances, defence vehicles, and certain dignitaries’ vehicles — pass free as per the official exemption list. Exemption is verified at the lane.
I don’t have a FASTag. Can I still cross?
Yes, but as per NHAI rules a vehicle without a valid FASTag pays double the applicable fee at the cash/penalty lane. We recommend getting a FASTag from any bank — it saves time and money.
Do you provide receipts?
Every payment — FASTag, UPI or cash — generates a receipt. Insist on collecting it; it is your proof of payment for any dispute.
